Poems for Dreamers
Hide this book is the first book I ever wrote specifically for children. While I've loved poetry since I was a child, I had never written poetry specifically for children. I wanted to write something that showed kids that poetry was not only accessible, but a real hobby for anyone. I included some poetry that I wrote as a child as well as poetry that I wrote as an adult, specifically for children. Perhaps the most unique feature of this book comes at the end. After I finish writing my poetry, I invite the reader to write some of their own on the 25 lined pages. We are always told not to write in our books, but this book is different. I wanted this to be the kind of book you hide under your pillow so you can read it after bedtime, which is why I called it Hide This Book.

We All Love Charlie
This book is probably one of the most important books I've ever written. After I learned my cousin Brennan and his partner, Jordan, were expecting my little cousin, Charlie, I was overjoyed. This joy was tempered with fear when she was born very premature. This book is written from the point of view of my cousin's niece, Ella, who loves Charlie just as much as we all do. This book delicately explains premature birth at a child's level. The goal is to educate children, not to scare them, and share my family's story, one based in love and bravery, not fear.
